Grizzly Industrial - Circular Saw Review
For starters, I have been a professional furniture builder for 25 years. I bought this saw as a grunt to cut about 200 sheets of plywood because I didn't want to use my festool.
First one wouldn't plunge, very bent and dug into the cast aluminum. I was in a rush so I ordered one before I even sent it back. Money refunded , no problem. Things happen.
The second one wouldn't even start. I turned it upside down and heard something loose. I shook it and it worked (obviously a loose piece in the switch). After about 10 tries of starting it (never touched a piece of wood) it stopped again.
Fed up with the quality I returned with the track and the told me I would have to pay restocking for the track. I disputed and they said it was okay. After explaining to several people that sometimes it would work but switch would jam ( I had for a matter of hours) they decided that I was lying and the saw was fine. I would be charged the restocking fee.
I told them to shake it and try again, a week later. After talking to literally 6 different people they still determined I was still lying. For the record, I buy for a commercial shop and have many thousands worth of grizzly tools including 8 inch jointer ,table saw, go513 bandsaw, dust collection etc. I promise I will never deal with this company again.
I could care less about the money but I am no lier. I just spent a little more and got the makita to compliment my festool. I am done. I wish I could sell off all this stuff.
This is the first review I have ever done because of how disrespected I feel. How would I possibly benefit from buying 2 of these that never touched wood??
So i had to pay for all the headaches. I feel sorry for the person who gets the saw that works " fine".
Reason of review: Bad quality.
