CROOKED COMPANY! 1 YEAR WARRANTY IS A LIE.

Tried to resolve by phone and eMail.

Total loss as I couldn't find parts elsewhere and will not buy from these crooks! Think long and hard before sending these scammers your hard-earned money!!!!!!

Grandfather bought me Grizzly G0622 Band Saw for Christmas 2014. Followed instructions for assembly and setup. Worked a few times over 2 months cutting 3" PVC pipe then gear driving wheel wore out. Neighbor said he'd look at it, disassembled, and found Grizzly shipped without lubrication in gear box. Looked at instructions again and it only says to check yearly. Contacted Grizzly and was told: "I am sorry to hear that you are having difficulties with your G0622 Metal-Cutting Bandsaw. The gears in the gearbox should have been greased prior to use."

Again, nothing in assembly instructions about putting grease in the sealed gearbox. My first power tool and last anything from this scam company with bad assembly instructions and a bogus 1 year warranty.

Monetary Loss: $350.

Preferred solution: Repair parts - Gear and Shaft (gear still stuck on shaft after removing roll pin and trying to remove with gear puller)..

Grizzly Industrial Cons: Rip off, False advertising, No warranty, Junk tools, Defective, Chinese tools, Scam, Fraud.

I only have only two tools from grizzly: a 15-inch bandsaw and an 8-inch grinding/sharpening wheel. They both collect dust because the bandsaw cuts poorly no matter how much tuning I do on it, and the axle of the other is not true so the wobble screws up my chisels.

Junk junk junk. Never buying Grizzly again!

Fraudulent warranty statements. Sorry you experienced identical problem as I with same band saw.

Gear box was dry but nothing in instructions except checking it every few months.

Saw worked a couple of weeks and Grizzly of course refused to supply repair parts. Ending up replacing saw as no way I'm send sending those thieves a dime.

Typical Grizzly.... I guess they figure there are a lot of people in the world so ripping us off one at a time doesn't hurt their goal of lining their pockets through dishonesty.

Going through the same thing with warranty. Motor is going out on my lathe after only about 8 months of light use.

Called grizzly about the motor vibration, and they said they might be able to send a different type of belt to help absorb the vibration, but said nothing about replacing the bad motor.

Haven't heard back from them in a week now, so took the motor to a local shop today to see if it can be repaired. Be warned, if you buy grizzly tools, you are on your own!

Was this ever resolved? I want cabinet saw they now have on sale, Grizzly is evasive and won't provide detailed warranty information prior to a rather large purchase, and I don't want to get screwed by a company that won't honor warranty. Thank you.

How cheap does a tool have to be to make a worthless defective machine without poor warranty service a good deal?
